| If you pled guilty or your case was was dismissed, why ? | pled guillty to escorting without a license because it had been 2 years since my arrest and i was sick of going to court every month and we weren’t getting anywhere… every month i just got badgered by my public defender to plead guilty, he never had my files, he never could produce the evidence they had against me, although i did see the police report briefly after 6 months..
then 2 years later, i had gotten pulled over and a bunch of new charges for driv on suspended and related other criminal traffic and they offered to drop everything if i just pled guilty to not having an escort license… Plus my attorney was threatening to send me for psychiatric evaluation if i didnt accept the plea deal and i wasn’t sure what all THAT would entail and didn’t want to find out. |
| Describe the jail facility. | GROSS !!!!! there were like 50 girls in the holding tank, it was standing room only, one girl was withdrawing from (i think) alcohol and laying in her own puke, there were also some girls shooting heroin (one of the girls snuck it in her shoe heel, she was in a gang)…
i thought for sure i was gonna have to fight for my tommy hilfiger’s cuz one of the girls kept saying how much she liked them and it was her birthday, but another girl that was in the same sting with me told me she had my back LOL. jail is so weird. |

| Any additional comments about jail or court ? | at my initial hearing when i met with the prosecutor, he offered to drop all the charges if i agreed to plead guilty to escorting without a license…. i refused because i wanted to make it as difficult as possible for them to resolve my case since they unnecessarily tramautized my dog ( i got her out the next day but she was sent to the same facility that i adopted her out of and for a long time she would frantically paw at the front door whenever we would came back from a walk. ) …… |

Since I am unfamiliar with the “escorting without a license charge” I can’t say anything about that. I’m glad they dropped the other charges. In Cal, all it seems to take is an offer, an acceptance and an over act, eg the exchange of money. I understand about your dog. There is no excuse for treating a dog cruelly.

most business licenses in chandler only cost $40-$50 per year.. the escort licensing costs $700 the first year and $600 per year therafter. . they also require that you submit a recent std test.
it’s sort of like requiring someone to pass a test to get a drivers license and then putting them in jail for driving.
both tucson, az and chandler, az require std tests for escort licenses.

also there does not need to be an exchange of money. . not in any state.
money has nothing to do with a prostitution case.
its an agreement.. a contract… a meeting of the minds..
it can be verbal or nonverbal (such as a smile of agreement or a nod of the head)
something sexual in exchange for something of value ..
anything sexual….. anything of any value..
they know a girl will relax once she’s paid, and it looks good as physical evidence but it’s completely unnecesary.
